Financing the Green New Deal: A Performative Evaluation of the State, Banks, and Civil Society Investments

How does the effectiveness and coherence of public policy relate to the performance of ESG investments? Later this year, a roadmap will be presented in view of a European Conference 2010 on “Financing a Green New Deal. Mobilising Private Capital.” The report addresses the role of the State within private-sector banks and the ESG agenda, as well as Basel II and new forms of co-ordination at EU and Member States levels between public authorities, public banks, and private-sector banks. One of the essential components continues to be ESG investment performance and the effectiveness of public policy for the successful implementation of the EU Objectives 2020.
