Patrick Elmer is Head of Responsible Investments and Philanthropy Services at Credit Suisse Private Banking, advising clients on innovative investment solutions that combine financial and social returns. Before joining Credit Suisse in September 2008 as Head of Microfinance, Patrick has worked for many years in Mozambique, Tanzania and Madagascar, first managing the private sector development portfolio of seco (Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs) and later establishing and managing microfinance banks on behalf of public and private investors. Patrick Elmer holds a Master degree in International Affairs from the University of St. Gallen and a Master degree on Developing Countries from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich.
